What is an “Electromagnetic Digital Load Cell”?

Nowadays, it is increasingly important that each process of a production line takes as short a time as possible. Any process that takes more than 1 second is often considered slow, particularly for the production of small components such as secondary cells. At the same time, weighing processes for these small components typically require a high level of precision.

Less than 0.5 seconds at a resolution of 1 mg – This is the speed and precision realized by the electromagnetic digital load cell (EM-DLC), A&D’s latest weighing sensing technology for production line systems.

The EM-DLC, like a digital load cell, has an integrated analog-to-digital converter and therefore outputs digital signals directly to a PC or PLC. Unlike a conventional digital load cell, however, the EM-DLC incorporates a high-precision, electromagnetic weighing sensor instead of spring material and strain gauges.
