The new intelligent Ethernet analog input module MSX-E3011 is equipped with 16 differential inputs and delivers 16-bit resolution. It was developed to acquire and process measurement data in harsh industrial environments quickly and directly, close to the test item. In rapid processes especially, the MSX-E3011 Ethernet module supports PLCs in many analog measurements: acquisition of signals from laser and ultrasound sensors, flow measurement, etc. Thanks to the IP 65 protection level, the extended temperature range and the protective circuits, you can save the cost of expensive switch cabinets. M12 screw-in connectors have been preferred to normal connectors to simplify wiring and reduce installation times. The Ethernet module can be cascaded with other modules of the same type and with I/O modules in the MSX-Exxxx series. Furthermore, it can be synchronised in the µs range.
The 16 differential analog inputs can be operated at a throughput rate of 25 kHz/channel (max. 100 kHz/channel on 4 concurrent channels). Analog data acquisition can be started via the trigger input. If more than 16 sensors are connected at once and multiple Ethernet modules are cascaded for this purpose, the trigger signal can be passed from one module to the other.
To enable rapid connection to a PLC and simple configuration, the intelligent Ethernet analog input module has been fitted with a web server. The user can therefore carry out configuration and monitoring without any knowledge of programming.
