ADEUNIS RF is working to optimize the public transport networks.
The ARF4 RS232/RS485 version multi-channel radio professional modem has been chosen by a parts manufacturer specializing in urban and peri-urban transport for a bus detection application for use by traffic light controllers.
The ARF43 radio modem permits wireless transmission of data between the bus location system which generates priority requests and the traffic light controller, which processes the priority request transmitted by the bus.
The desire on the part of local municipal authorities and the bus operators wishing to improve the performance of public transport is consistent with this decision to adopt a flexible system that does not require any work or maintenance in the roadway and also means that buses can be monitored "in real time", thus offering the opportunity of real operational savings (analysis of results obtained with several urban networks in the provinces shows that this system can improve bus speed by from 5 to 10%).
The ARF43 radio modem is a system that permits bidirectional wireless transmission of data over a range of 1000 metres.
It is available to use in an IP65 ready-to-use approved casing with an integrated or separate professional antenna.
It uses the 863-870MHz band (Europe) complying with European Directives RTTE EN300-220 / EN301-48.
