ADEUNIS RF announces the launch of its new ARF45-Pro gateway for connecting peripherals equipped with a serial port to a Wifi wireless network over a distance of 200m.
This gateway is the ideal solution for connecting any serial peripherals that require enhanced security and optimum reliability during data transfer. Supplied in an IP65 case they are perfectly suitable for industrial environments.
From the long list of the ARF45-Pro’s features, we can cite the following in particular:
• An 802.11b/g wireless network interface.
• Wireless security protocols: WEP (64/128-bit), WPA-Personal (PSK).
• Advanced wireless security protocols: 802.1X, 802.11i WPA2-Personal (PSK), 802.11i WPA2-Enterprise (EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, PEAP, LEAP).
• Advanced encryption methods: TKIP, AES-CCMP.
• Improved mobility within a wireless network thanks to advanced “roaming” technology: the capability of connecting to the nearest Wifi access point and/or the one with the strongest radio signal automatically and therefore transparently from the user’s point of view.
Via this technology, users are assured of obtaining a reliable and uninterrupted connection to the network while having the ability to be mobile => An obvious advantage for applications that require mobility.
• Auto Fallback: auto adaptation of throughput in order to increase range. An essential advantage for applications in environments particularly subject to interference.
In addition to all its advanced characteristics, the ARF45-Pro Wifi gateway has been optimized to make it simple to use and easy to configure.
• An on-board web server accessible via any internet browser (eg: I.E., Firefox …).
• The option of creating a standard configuration, saving it in the form of a XML file and making it easy to duplicate to all the gateways at the time of deployment.
• The option of inserting it directly into an Ad-Hoc network or network infrastructure.
This ARF45-Pro gateway is available in an IP65 case and is ready to use. It incorporates a radio transceiver, a logic processing unit and supports a wide range of power supply options on the same board (8 to 30V).
