Automotive Parts Assembly Line

Industrias AGME, company with more than 60 years of experience in the fields of Forming and Assembly, have recently developed a complete solution to the assembly requirements of an important automotive parts manufacturer: from the initial design to the final machine build. Our engineers have designed and manufactured a side bonnet professional hinges assembly alignment with 2 hydraulic-pneumatic machines

These modules have been designed for the riveting and assembling of both side bonnet hinges in 20 seconds total cycle time, always adapting the machine to the customer’s automation requirements. Each machine has a rotary desk with variable torque and a sub plate with 4 stations on a rigid welded machine base.

In the first machine there is bush flaring with 2 AGME hydraulic presses suppliers that are mounted on the same slide with X-Y movement. Then there is an automatic feeding of the rivets and insertion into the links. The OK parts are automatically ejected by a professional robot and fed to 2 professional workstations in the second machine.

In the second machine, there is a preassembled links and hinge bodies manual feeding in stations 1 and 3. The riveting process will be carried out by 2 AGME radial riveting machines in station 2 and 4.

In both machines there is a riveting and flaring process quality assurance system that only selects the ok parts and does not accept the nok parts. Thanks to this system it is possible to eradicate human error and provide savings on cycle time and quality. In the same way, the process automation provides a decrease in the production time that causes a productivity increase.
