AGME, a leading company in the manufacture of machine tools for forming and assembly, is celebrating its 60th anniversary. It was set up back in 1948 when it started its industrial activity with the manufacture of tools and dies, requested by the car manufacturer SEAT. In 1970, the first special machine modules for automatic assembly were developed.
Throughout its 60 years of history, AGME has built up a lot of experience and grown until it has become the national leader in the forming and assembly sector. AGME currently has a workforce of 70 people, 1 production plant and a national and international distribution network to deal with the main national and international markets.
The key to its leadership is a highly qualified team of people and constant research and investigation into new applications and technologies to facilitate companies’ production processes, minimising production times. In this area the work of the company’s special machinery engineering department stands out, which carries out turnkey projects to meet its customers’ specific automation requirements.
This company designs mounting lines which require minimum changeovers, replacing manual processes by automated ones that will lead to an increase in productivity and competitiveness. The aim of the company is not only to sell machines but also to provide technological solutions that meet the technical requirements of its customers.
AGME works to offer companies top quality machines, full technical assistance and a wide range of machinery with multiple applications. All its machines incorporate quality assurance systems which enable no errors to be committed.
Internationally, AGME is becoming more well-known as an exporter of know-how. An example of this is that it is working with the main automotive components producers: Johnson Controls, Keiper, Grupo Antolín, Eumatic, Lear and CIE Automotive.
