The new peristaltic pump for low pressure applications

The new peristaltic pump for low pressure applications

Albin Pump provides process confidence and offer cost savings through:
• Accurate and repeatable dosing and metering
• Long life and greater reliability
• Self-priming
• Continuous dry running
• Lowest cost of ownership
• Quick and easy maintenance

Albin Pump is introducing a new range of low pressure peristaltic hose pumps. This range is consisting of 6 pumps in sizes from 9 mm to 45 mm diameter hoses with fixed or variable speed drives.

This pump series complements our present ALH range of high pressure pumps by giving us a wider range of hose materials as well as a design that is suitable for hygienic and pharmaceutical applications. This by the design with rollers and the fact that liquids are conveyed within the hose and do not get in contact with any metal part makes the ALP range the perfect pump for applications like:

Pharmaceutical industry
Challenge: it demands sterility and a high degree of precision to ensure the integrity and quality of the end product. Fluid isolation and precise metering are vital, and not meeting these demands can be enormously costly.
Fluids Pumped: chemical dosing, liquid protein, vaccines, serum, plasma, syrups.
Water treatment:
Challenge: reduce the down time due to maintenance of costly dosing pumps and elimination of ex-pensive ancillary equipment.
Fluids Pumped: sodium hypochlorite, ferric chloride, sodium bisulphite, fluoride, polymers, aqueous am¬monia, potassium permanganate, caustic soda.
Pasta industry
Challenge: Inspectors are concerned about contamination if the hose breaks. Our competition uses a food grade oil for hose lubrication, but within 1-2 days the hose begins to wear (turns black), requir¬ing the customer to change hoses every 2 days.
Fluids Pumped: egg white & yolk, eligible fat, semolina, natural flavouring.
Cheese manufacturer
Challenge: Requires a low sheer pump so fibres in cheese aren’t separated.
Fluids Pumped: Cream, milk and yogurt.
Bread Dough & Fruit Cake Manufacturer’s
Challenge: Require semi-accurate metering of viscous products containing solids.
Fluids Pumped: Water & salt mixtures, natural flavourings, fats, fruit cake dough/mixture (i.e. fruit cake has nuts and fruit pieces that need to stay whole).
Shampoo manufacturer
Challenge: Eliminate potential for foaming fluid on bottle filling lines. Harsh pumping action of air op-erated diaphragm pumps can cause the fluid to foam.
Fluid: Shampoos

The Albin pump ALP range provides flow rates from micro-litres per minute to 10 m3/h and pressures up to 4 bar.
Fixed, variable, flameproof, and air operated drives, with comprehensive control options to enable pumps to be configured to your requirements.
