Sharing responsibility – ALCAN COMPOSITES is “DRIVEN by ECO-LOGIC”
ALCAN COMPOSITES Core Materials focuses on sustainability and “eco-logic“ at the Composites Europe 2009.
In the context of the current global challenges such as climate change and scarcity of resources, lightweight construction is gaining importance with regard to its favourable ecological impact.
Lightweight structures save valuable raw materials and reduce energy consumption which is equal to a reduction of CO2 emissions.
For ALCAN COMPOSITES this physically logical effect has become their “ECO-LOGIC”: They are DRIVEN by ECO-LOGIC.
The company addresses its task by continuously working on innovative ways and product optimizations which make lightweight construction even more attractive and thus actively support a sustainable way of doing business.
Balsa, the only core material that comes from renewable resources, makes an important contribution to this goal.
With the introduction of the new PET foam AIREX® T92 in the spring of this year, ALCAN COMPOSITES has developed a product which is especially focused on sustainability through its extremely good recyclability and the use of a natural blowing agent (CO2).
In the area of social responsibility, ALCAN COMPOSITES is equally active. With humanitarian aid for their nearest environment as well as active support and development of employees, ALCAN COMPOSITES is demonstrating the holistic approach of DRIVEN by ECO-LOGIC with the economic, ecological and social aspects of it.
The focus on sustainability forms the third pillar of ALCAN COMPOSITES’ Hybrid Core Concept®: Customers get expert advice and can choose from the broadest product range which allows them to find the product that best fits their requirements with regard to mechanical properties, price and sustainability.
At their booth in hall 4 / E 38 ALCAN COMPOSITES represented by Alcan Airex AG will present details about “DRIVEN by ECO-LOGIC”, the Hybrid Core Concepts® and AIREX® T92 together with their German distributor Gaugler & Lutz. In addition, they offer a platform for expert discussions and questions regarding products, services and applications.
