APEM is pleased to announce the release of the KM rocker switch. This rocker integrates 2 reed switches placed on a PCB.
What is a reed switch? A reed switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field. It consists of a pair of contact on ferrous metal reeds in a hermetically sealed glass envelope.
Advantages of the KM series : the most important advantage of the new APEM KM rocker switch is that the contacts are sealed away from the atmosphere. So, they are protected against atmospheric corrosion. This guarantees an excellent contact resistance, even if the switch is operated once a year in polluted atmospheres. The reed switches are mounted on a resin-sealed PCB. This allows specific outputs and guarantees a high protection level in harsh environments.
