The new numerical control multi-head drilling machine for section bars, which will be preview at the next EMO´s exhibition in Hannover, contains state-of-art technological solutions for multi-head drilling and allows each single drilling unit for carrying out two holes of different diameter by adjusting the drilling depth.
The machine is equipped with a linear guideway, named “Speedy”, available in various lengths, with motorized carriage that places the bars on the programmed point with precision.
Ad additional transversal guide is assembled on the piece automatic blocking vice. Up to two drilling stations are installed on its carriage. They interchange with each other in order to carry out aligned/non-aligned holes, even transversally, on the bars.
The drilling positions on two axes can be directly programmed in the industrial console of the N.C. programmer which allows for carrying out holes of different diameter on any point of the bar (up to 50 programs).
The machine is cheaper than traditional drilling units; it is versatile, fast and can be set-up in few seconds.
