3D Tracker-LT Delivers 5mm GPS Accuracy Applied Geomechanics Incorporated

The new 3D Tracker-LT Deformation Monitoring System from Applied Geomechanics (AGI) delivers fast and precise 3D position in a compact and affordable package. 3D Tracker-LT is specially designed for the dynamic needs of mining, bridge, dam, landslide, and geotechnical engineers, and provides hourly position updates with +/-5mm accuracy.

Typical installations consist of one GPS reference station, sited on stable ground, and an array of remote stations. The remote stations are located on the ground or structure under investigation to track its movement and deformation.

3D Tracker-LT monitoring stations receive signals from GPS and GLONASS satellites, and then relay those signals to AGI’s Gemeni software server via the system’s integrated Wi-Fi and Internet access point. Gemeni processes the data and provides position updates once per hour. Results are delivered to the user over the Internet using AGI’s Atlas reporting service, which includes graphing and alarm notification features.

3D Tracker-LT requires no on-site computer, making systems quick and simple to deploy. After installation, monitoring stations can begin data collection within 65-seconds from power-up. 3D Tracker-LT’s energy efficient design and Wi-Fi communication interface reduce power draw to less than 1 watt per receiver, making 3D Tracker-LT ideal for remote installations with limited on-site power. Receivers and accessories are packaged in a rugged NEMA 4X enclosure for superior protection from the elements.
