CIBUS TEC 2009, the Food Processing & Packaging Exhibition, will take place in Parma (Italy) from 27 to 30 October 2009. At the exhibition Ascon will present the new control system, called frigoPAC, developed to meet the requirements of the industrial refrigeration plants.

The system is the ideal solution for direct or indirect expansion plants with the control of the refrigerant condensation with air or water or with hybrid solutions.

The frigoPAC system includes the functionalities typical for the processing and storing into cold rooms of food products such as vegetables, fruits, fish, cheese and hams both fresh and freezed. The system also solves quick cooling applications such as Vacuumcoolers, Hydrocoolers and freezing tunnels.

Ascon can supply a complete system starting from the temperature and humidity sensors up to the modulating valves and operator panels.

The heart of the system is the new frigoPAC, a Programmable Automation Controller able to solve all the plant control functions including the digital and analogue I/O management, the PID control with sophisticated algorithms, the management of the process cycles with the related programs, sequences and logics (PLC).

The connectivity is guaranteed by an Ethernet port and by the standard communication MODBUS RTU for any requirement of supervision (SCADA), traceability, remote control and remote management.
