Presentation at the Hanover Fair 2008
The Engineering Base version 3.2 from AUCOTEC, released from April 1 on, contains a number of new solutions for various branch packages that are presented for the first time at the Hanover Fair 08: e.g. for professional harness design all processing steps can now be carried out, from the creation of the system design via intelligent transition to professional cable diagram creation down to wiring harness information for seamless integration into quite different tool environments.
With its branch solution 'Power' EB in particular supports the efficient detail planning. Single-line diagrams provide fully automatically assignable cable cores, specific reports ensure better integration into the manufacturing process, and the automatic revision management can now also be focused on partial areas.
In mechanical engineering and plant construction it is now possible to link different projects for facile integration of external components and for navigation across project borders. This is supplemented by an extended PLC SUPPLIERS address generation as well as automatically created cable combs and bus overviews.
Novelties for Everybody
But EB 3.2 even includes comprehensive solutions that benefit all customers: e.g. a system dictionary that enables conversion of all terms into the desired user language in no time. Or the release for MS Vista and the faster MS standard components Visio 2007 and SQL Server 2005. Likewise the simple provision of frequently required symbols and partial circuits results in substantially easier handling.
