Smallest, fully automated produced plastic micropump on the market
Promptly to the ComPaMED 2008 the new micropump mp6 from Bartels Mikrotechnik GmbH is presented to the market. Based on the well known piezoeletric diaphragm technology of the mp5 the attention during the development of the next generation micropump was directed on an improved pressure behavior and an automated production process for high quantity applications. The powerful pumping performance will be demonstrated to interested customers by various application examples at the fair.
The double manufacturer of actuator system is the smallest fully automated produced piezoelectric diaphragm pump manufacturers made from plastic on the market. With a size of 30 x 15 x 3,8 mm³ the pump reaches a back pressure of 500 mbar for pumping water. A maximum flow rate of 5 ml/min can be achieved by the mp6. Additional to liquids with different viscosities the delivery of gases or mixtures of liquids and gases is possible.
“Visitors at the fair should convince themselves of the benefits of the mp6, like the improved gas bubble tolerance and self-priming behaviour” advises product manager Severin Dahms. “Due to my present experience in customer specific requirements, I can say that the mp6 offers the right solution for many applications in different branches.”
Since there are many areas of applications with various requirements for the micropump, the pump sometimes does not fulfill the requirements needed from the start. The simple principle of piezo membrane pumps allows the customer specific adaptation to specific requirements like e.g. flow- or back pressure rate, increased repeatability or materials.
