Since its foundation in 1987, Elitherm S.A. in Salonika, Greece, has been trad-ing in complete heating and air conditioning systems as well as in profile sys-tems and is known as one of the leading suppliers in its domestic market to-day. To extend its product portfolio and to increase its real net output ratio, the company has been investing for the last few years in complete lines from Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik, Bad Oeynhausen, and now manufactures pipes and, above all, profiles in-house.

Elitherm has recognized the complete line competence of Battenfeld Extrusionstech-nik as a clear competitive advantage over other machine manufacturers and there-fore decided to purchase its extrusion equipment from the Bad Oeynhausen supplier. In 2004, Elitherm acquired two pipe extrusion equipment from Bad Oeynhausen, one to manufacture PEX pipes and another to produce PB and PP-R pipes, as well as a total of two profile extrusion lines, one winBEX and one miniBEX. The complete satisfaction of this processor with the extrusion lines from Germany was demonstrated by the fact that only one year later, in 2005, the company bought and installed another two extrusion lines from Germany. Now Elitherm has ordered three additional profile extrusion lines of the same specifications, which are to start production early this summer. With the installation of the new lines, the plastics processor will double its total capacity and thus become one of the largest profile manufacturers in Greece.

All lines shipped to Salonika are complete systems with all components perfectly matched, from material feeding and extruder supplier, die and downstream equipment to the control system.
