At Plastex 2008 from October 23-26, 2008, Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik GmbH, Bad Oeynhausen, Germany, will present information about its broad range of pipe, profile, sheet extrusion and pelletizing equipment at booth B16 in hall 7.
On display will be a BEX 2-92-28V parallel twin-screw extruder for the production of PVC pipe, powered with a 143 kW motor and an output rate of 650-700 kg/h. Battenfeld’s twin-screw extruders manufacturer are characterized by a wide processing window with optimum homogenization performance. They also offer a compact extruder design and optimum screw wear resistance due to special coating applied to each screw zone for reliable production and long service life.
The exhibit is equipped with the state-of-the-art BMCtouch control system for easy start-up and operation. The BMCtouch control unit integrates all parts of the ma-chine which ensures that the complete coextruder can be operated and monitored from a central control panel. It also features new extruder monitoring functions, which help users to optimize production costs by means of preventive maintenance and analysis of the energy flow.
In combination with the in-house designed and manufactured double spider dies very high output rates and premium product quality are achieved. Positive attributes of these dies are their low pressure build-up and perfect melt homogenization. The spider positions are staggered to increase the pressure resistance of the pipes and simultaneously optimize their wall thickness distribution.
