cobracut AS – the ticket to the A-class bedra Berkenhoff
Often imitated but never equalled, Berkenhoff's original cobracut A has been synonymous with zinc-coated high-performance wire electrodes for over 30 years. With the bedra brand that delivers the well-proven cobracut A technology, Berkenhoff has now introduced an economic alternative to the cheap imitations being sold on the market: the new cobracut AS. Berkenhoff has launched its new high-performance wire at an attractive entry-level price that offers reliable quality to satisfy the most common demands made when working with Agie machines, i.e. reproducible precision and surface quality.
This galvanised brass wire is manufactured in Berkenhoff's own smelting shop at its factory in Herborn, Germany. It is therefore characterised by the highest purity of the alloy components that it employs. The optimised galvanisation and drawing process uses "speed annealing" to achieve the tried-and-tested bedra quality that this erosion wire delivers. The first-class galvanic coating systems used to manufacture bedra products allow the coats of zinc (which are also free of harmful additives) to be evenly applied in concentric layers.
The hard straightened wire electrode delivers the highest reliability for automatic threading and targets at erosion specialists who appreciate above-average performance at favourable entry-level prices. The new cobracut AS is now available in a diameter of 0.25 mm from authorised bedra specialist dealers.
