Bono Energia can boast since decades a leadership position
in the market of thermal plants to serve the paper production
process. Both in Italy and abroad, the major players of this
sector have been choosing Bono in order to provide their
companies with reliable, widely tested, safe and technologi-
cally advanced machines, designed according to the custo-
mers’ needs.

With its new supply to Villorba paper mill, part of Burgo Group,
Bono has strengthened its leading position in the paper sector,
clinching a contract with a renowned customer.
Burgo is the first producer of graphic papers in Southern Europe, and it offers to its customers a complete range of top quality papers.
Villorba’s paper mill has several centuries of history, and it is today a part of Burgo Group. In 2007 the plant was renovated, and a machining line has been renewed.
The innovations concerned both the paper machine (increased speed) and the coater (improved efficiency).
Bono Energia offered a very important part of the thermal plant:
the heat recovery professional steam generator.
The HRSG is part of a combined power generation cycle. The enhanced total efficiency will allow to save on the unit cost of the
paper produced.
Bono’s participation to the project involved the design and construction of a heat recovery steam boiler with an output of 65t/h and a working pressure of 70 bar.
The impressive size of the boiler required an extreme modular solution, in order to allow an easier transportation and installation while keeping a high quality of the product.
All the components are currently being assembled at Burgo’s paper
mills in Villorba.
