Press release from BORIDE - 2008-02-11

The CNB-80 and CNB-120

BORIDE Engineered Abrasives has specially fabricated advanced composites with proprietary fiber to create our newest product, the CNB-120. Through extensive product testing with the CNB-80, the CNB-120 has evolved to become one of the thinnest, strongest and most aggressive polishing products on the market today.

How is it used?

Consider the CNB-120 a fiber partner to the Ceramic Stone family; and it is used much the same way. The cutting action of the CNB-120 is at the tip and sides.
The CNB-120 is a coarse fiber and is associated to an approximate 120 grit stone. The CNB- 120 can be used by hand or with short stroke profilers such as the TLL- 07 Turbo-Lap.

At .8 mm thick with widths of 4, 6 and 10mm and lengths of 75mm (3”) and 150mm (6”) in the 10mm only, the CNB- 120 is an excellent rough-in tool on ribs and slots. Cutter marks and EDM scale on any material are no match for the CNB-120. The CNB- 120 can be used with or without lubricant.
