MILWAUKEE, Wis. (December 8, 2011) – Brady announced today the addition of two new safety padlock lines to its lockout/tagout product line. The new product lines include a Compact Safety Padlock, which is currently the smallest lock on the market, and a Key Retaining Steel Padlock, which is 13 times more corrosion-resistant than normal steel locks.

Compact Safety Padlocks

The new Compact Safety Padlock is a small-bodied version of Brady’s current safety padlock and is extremely compact and lightweight. This padlock is the smallest lock on the market with a 3/16” shackle diameter and weight of only 0.7 ounces. Offered in nine standard colors, the Compact Safety Padlock is available in keyed different and keyed alike formats.

This padlock also comes with a 5-pin cylinder that accepts the same keying configurations as Brady’s current safety padlock. The Compact Safety Padlock is ideal for electrical contractors, general electricians and maintenance personnel.

Barb Bartelt, marketing manager for Brady’s professional services, notes that practical experience is another significant benefit to participating in a workshop.

Key Retaining Steel Padlocks

This steel padlock features an updated key retaining feature that is beneficial for safety and lockout/tagout applications. The Key Retaining Padlock is 13 times more corrosion-resistant than normal steel locks due to its reinforced laminated steel with individually coated body plates.
