Increased Productivity

Alenia-Aermacchi has incorporated into its production line a new machine from the Breton Flymill range. An overview of the reasons behind this choice, the features this machining centre offers and the results the end user expects to achieve.

When something flies over your head – and we are not talking about a bird – you can be sure that Aermacchi has something to do with it.
This company, based in Venegono Superiore, is a leading name in the aeronautical industry, and is, today, partner in a number of programs aimed at developing projects for both the civil and military aviation markets.
The company’s core business covers three main areas: project design, production and technical support of military training aircraft; it participates in a number of international military aviation programs; supplies plane components and parts for the civil aviation industry.
Up to this point just general information. So why when we talk about a company do we take a closer look at its production processes? even in this case, although it would be interesting to talk about “flying machines”, we should take a look at the process or rather the machines which are used to build other machines, those that fly.
This Venegono based company with the aim of modernising and increasing productivity decided to purchase a 5-axis Breton Flymill for contouring and boring to be incorporated into its sheet metal machining and milling line.
