Bruker Introduces the Alloy Guide App for Mobile Devices Bruker

KENNEWICK, Washington (USA) – January 19, 2012 -- Bruker announces the introduction of the new Alloy Guide app for mobile devices. This free application lets users easily look up the chemistry and concentration data for common alloys. The initial release contains definitions for over 400 alloys from the AISI grade standard. Future releases will add hundreds more alloys from the DIN, CIN, and JIS grade standards.

The Alloy Guide is a browser-based app that operates on current generation mobile devices. In addition, the app will run on laptop and desktop computers using HTML5 compatible browsers.

This new Alloy Guide will be a useful tool for anyone who needs to quickly look up alloy chemistry or verify allowable elemental concentration for a given alloy. Industries where this guide will be useful include: scrap / recycling, manufacturing / machining, petro-chemical, and inspection companies.

The Alloy Guide complements Bruker’s lineup of handheld XRF analyzers and other elemental analysis instrumentation. Handheld XRF analyzers such as Bruker’s S1 TURBO are commonly used to verify grade ID of metals, as well as ensure that the concentration of the various elements are within industry or company standards.

The new Alloy Guide may be downloaded directly from the Bruker website. To learn more, please visit www.bruker.com/alloy-app or scan the QR code with your mobile device.
