Since the beginning of the year, Glasid AG in Gelsenkirchen has been producing insulating glass within its range of products. Although this family-owned enterprise has entered into an entirely new field, it has focussed completely on quality during the selection process regarding its production center. Without doubt the Bystronic glass system belongs to the latest and most versatile systems in the world.

With more than 25 years of experience in the glass business, the Damke brothers have the right to be called "old hands” in the industry. Starting as a pure glass grinding shop, Glasid AG’s fields of business have increasingly expanded. Director Günter Damke explains: "We have been involved in selling insulating glass for a long time. For us, as a provider of the full range of products with more than 3000 customers, it was very important to us that we could produce this product ourselves." With the new manufacturing facility, Glasid has now brought one of the most modern insulation facilities in the world into operation. Hans-Peter Damke mentions several reasons why Bystronic glass was selected for the machine technology.
