The Caterpillar G3520C 50 Hz Low Energy Fuel Package Power pack is designed for use with industrial methane fuels found in landfills, digesters and other low-energy biogas environments. This new professional generator set optimizes the performance of engines in parallel-to-grid, continuous-operation applications that use corrosive, low-energy gases. It delivers high power density combined with efficient, economical operation and low emissions.

The G3520C 50 Hz Low Energy Fuel Package Generator Set offers stainless-steel, corrosion-resistant aftercooler cores, 110° C jacket water outlet temperature, crankcase air cleaners and an optional positive-crankcase ventilation system.

Equipped with a Gas Engine Control Module using ADEM™ III electronic controls, the G3520C generator set allows for full engine control from a single source. The Air/Fuel Ratio Control is designed for use without an o2 sensor, allowing as high as a 19.2 bar BMEP rating that supplies high power density while meeting NOx emission levels of 500 mg/NM3. An optional level of 250 mg/NM3 is also available through a 54° C separate circuit aftercooler system.

Operating at 1500 rpm with a continuous rating of 1966 ekW, this generator set is built on a heavy-duty platform with durable connecting rods, industrial bearings, crankshaft, cylinder block and pumps made for continuous operation. An open combustion chamber design allows the G3520C generator set to operate using low-pressure gas supplies, reducing the installation cost of fuel treatment systems.
