The Process/Mini is the latest product from CEDES Safety & Automation AG (CSA). It enables a wide variety of industrial automation processes to be reliably monitored and controlled – and all this very cost-effectively.

Christian Majoleth, Product Manager with CSA outlines how the company’s latest product has years of experience in-built. “The Process/Mini comprises powerful performance and incredible reliability. It is the result of our years of experience in optical barrier manufacture. At the heart of the Process/Mini is its ASIC technology, which has a proven track record in safeguarding within the elevator industry,” he explains.

The electronics and controller are integrated into the edge itself. The aluminum construction ensures its robustness. The Process/Mini’s compact dimensions (12 x 16 mm) make it ideal for applications where space is at a premium and allow it to be easily integrated into a system. The edges can be equipped with 4, 8, 16, 24 or 32 elements, depending upon the specific application requirements.

The Process/Mini is insensitive to both EMV and ambient light, which guarantees reliable operation, even under extreme conditions.
“With Process/Mini, architects, those responsible for plant construction and systems designers get a light curtain that can operate under very harsh conditions, yet offer excellent reliability and performance,” Majoleth stresses.
