The joy of Ray Reed, CEO of Iplex Pipelines, Australia, was immense when his name was read out at the official drawing of the 500th Alpha extruder on Octo-ber 30 at the booth of Cincinnati Extrusion GmbH during K 2007.

Together with about 300 other persons interested from all five continents, the lucky winner had taken part in this unique campaign staged by the Viennese machine manufacturer and filled in a participation form for the raffle. The official drawing was supervised by the Düsseldorf notary Dr. Sebastian Kremer, who also drew the winner’s name out of an extruder professional hopper filled with all participation forms.

Iplex is a well-known Australian pipe manufacturer with a total of 11 production facilities, making PE pipes from 30 to 2,000 mm in diameter. Reed had already signed a purchase contract for two Alphas during the K and was now overjoyed that he could take home a third one for free. Iplex already operates three Alphas as coextruders and is very pleased with their performance.
