CogniTens, part of the Hexagon Metrology group and a leading provider of shop floor integrated dimensional measurement solutions, in partnership with Redoks Engineering announced today that Tofas, one Turkey’s largest automotive company has selected CogniTens optical Three dimensional measurement systems. CogniTens Optigo RE system will support dimensional evaluation, reverse engineering and quality control in the demanding environment of the Tofas automotive shop floor. Tofas is a joint venture between the Koc Holding group, turkey’s largest industrial group and Italy’s Fiat Auto group. Tofas produces passenger and commercial cars under the Fiat brand.

The Optigo RE system will be implemented in the Tofas manufacturing and assembly complex in Bursa and used to support the Tool and Die plant operations. This sub-plant is considered one of the most sophisticated throughout the global Fiat Auto group and has recently been recognized as the group’s innovation center for die technology and best practices.
