PROFIBUS DP mini diagnostic tool for permanent monitoring COMSOFT
The new PB Diagnostic Plug is a static diagnostic tool in the format of a typical PROFIBUS plug, which can be connected to any PROFIBUS node. The PROFIBUS baud rate is manually adjusted and includes the complete range from 9600 Bit/s to 12000 Kbit/s. An external power supply is not necessary, because PB Diagnostic Plug is directly energized by the connected PROFIBUS node. The required power consumption is only about 40 mW.
The complete running data traffic is continuously monitored for typical communication errors, such as faulty telegrams and retransmissions as well as device-specific diagnostic messages. Arising errors are indicated by integrated status LEDs and can be reported through the potential-free alarm contact to superordinate control systems. Error messages can be reset at any time by pressing the integrated button.
PB Diagnostic Plug helps to avoid plant shutdowns and to reduce technical problems. Maintenance costs can be planned proactively.
