Conax expands sealing capabilities - Large bore pipe & probes to 1.500" diameter
Conax Technologies has expanded its line of pressure/vacuum sealing assemblies with a series of large bore assemblies accommodating tube/probe diameters from 1" to 1.5" and commercial pipe sizes from 0.75" to 1.5". Conax large Bore PG Glands were originally designed for applications such as liquid or gas sampling, coupon insertion and securing of commercial pipe and generally operate at pressures less the 400 psi. Their larger size and rugged stainless steel construction make them ideal for heavy duty industrial applications.
The large bore PG glands feature a flange cap design that provides ease of assembly and reduces the torque requirements encountered with traditional hex designs of that size. Threaded gland bodies are constructed from 303 stainless steel standard with 316L stainless steel available as an option. PG glands are also available in weld neck models with 316L stainless steel bodies standard. In both cases, the caps and followers are constructed from 303 stainless steel standard. Custom construction materials, bore sizes and optional mounting configurations are also available.
All Conax packing glands feature Conax-designed "soft sealant" technology for effective environmental sealing in liquid or gas environments. The fitting is easily assembled in the field by simply inserting the element and torquing the cap. The replaceable sealant permits repeated use of the same fitting.
