Roll Temp Sensors Monitor Surface Temperatures on Moving Surfaces
Conax Technologies’ Roll Temp Sensor Assemblies provide accurate monitoring of surface temperatures on professional drums, professional rollers or other moving surfaces. They are ideal for detecting temperature variations in continuous process applications, such as plastic-film processing, wire manufacturing and painting processes. Roll Temp Detection provide a continuous flow of accurate information for close professional control.
Compact and easy to install, Roll Temp assemblies are furnished with Conax B2 professional terminal heads with brass contact buttons, flush-mounted in a spring-loaded Teflon® plunger to provide excellent thermal transfer to the temperature sensor supplier. They are available in all base metal manufacturer of thermocouple calibrations.
Three models are offered. The sliding contact assembly is designed for speeds up to 900 ft. per minute with a temperature range of -90°F to +500°F (-68°C to +260°C). A high-speed assembly with a mounted roller bearing supplier is available for surface speeds up to 1000 ft. per minute of highly polished surfaces that might be damaged by a sliding contact. An optional sterling silver roller is available for fast response at slower speeds. The high-speed assembly offers a temperature range of -90°F to +400°F (-68°C to +204°C). A high-temperature assembly with a temperature range of
-90°F to +700°F (-68°C to +371°C) is also available.
