New mini PC with two gigabit LAN interfaces and integrated SIM card holder CONCEPT International GmbH
Particular characteristics of the miniPC 616 are, alongside the small dimensions, the two gigabit LAN interfaces and the internal SIM card holder. This allows a 3G module to be created without too much effort which promises quick data transfer over the mobile network of up to 14.4 Mbit/s (HSDPA).
The mini PC is powered by Intel's 1.6 GHz energy efficient N270 ATOM processor, which passively cools thanks to its low energy use (10-12 Watts) and thus has no fan. In comparison with a standard PC, yearly energy costs for daily use of this mini PC are reduced by approx. 90 per cent (Green IT).
By using FlashROMs and SSD memories, the mini PC comes complete, without any moveable parts and is therefore appropriate for a maintenance-free 24 hour non-stop usage.
Further technical characteristics are a serial connection as well as eight I/O connections (four input and four output). With the mini PCI-Express slot it is possible to build a WLAN or 3G module. An external port for a microphone and headphones is available for the use of audio data.
The miniPC 616 is housed in a robust aluminium casing. Its compacts dimensions of 145 x 198 x 42 mm, which make it as big as three DVD covers lying on top of one another and its low weight of 1.2 kg, mean it can be recommended for use in switchboards or behind displays.
