The program of ODS Black-line supplier of laser sensors are a series of sensors based on optical triangulation, with different measuring ranges and resolutions, used in various environments, from the very hot and harsh applications in the heavy industry to the delicate applications in laboratories. Potential applications are innumerable. From food and medical industry over wood-, rubber- and offshore industry to milling marble, stone and cast iron – everywhere a non-contact precision measurement is valued. Seven different measuring ranges are available, the smallest covers 16 to 25 mm and the largest 400 to 1100 mm. Furthermore all ODS Black-line sensors are available with measuring frequencies of 2 kHz and 5 kHz. Higher measuring frequencies give shorter distance between the individual measuring points on a moving target, and increase the possibility for averaging over a sufficient number of measuring points to obtain a required high resolution. Apart from the standard models, all ODS Black-line sensors are supplied with a Select functionality, allowing the sensor to be programmed to calculate a user defined running average.
