Streaming Continuous Data at up to 96 MSamples/s Dewetron
Data throughput and sampling rate
For high-speed measurements typically A/D cards with 16 or 14 bit resolution are used. The storage of a sampling with 14 or 16 bit needs 2 byte. The DEWETRON high-speed recorder stores 11 GB/minute, which is equivalent to a data throughput of 192 MB/sec. Due to the fact that every measurement point needs 2 byte storage, the measurements can be done with 96 million measurement points per second (MS/s).
Configuration
8 channels @ 10 MS/s, 16 channels @ 5 MS/s or 64 channels @ 1 MS/s – these are just some examples of possible channel configurations. The included recorder software enables the easy and quick navigation through the huge amount of data, helps extracting the interesting parts and reduces the overall file afterwards.
Signal Conditioning
DEWETRON also offers a wide range of isolated amplifiers for high-speed measurements. Since 2011 the HSI (high speed isolation) modules for voltages from 10 mV up to 1.4 kV and 2 MHz bandwidth are available. The new HSI-STG universal module will supplement this series soon.
