With our Laser-Distance detection DLS-B you measure absolute distances up to 500 meters with an accuracy of 1.5mm. The measuring device is even at extreme environment temperatures as low as -40 °C a cost efficient solution.

Many new applications are now possible because of the following new features.

- Direct connectivity to an external display via RS232/RS422
- Output value calculation by adding an offset and gain
- External trigger for distance measuring

Direct connectivity of an external display via RS232/RS422:
The DLS-B formats the measured distance as an ASCII string, which is understood by external professional displays with a serial interface. Therefore measurement results can be displayed using an external display without an additional controller.

Output value calculation by adding an offset and gain:
The DLS-B is able to add an offset (positive or negative) to the measured value and multiply the sum with a gain factor. This gain factor is defined by a numerator (Num) and a denominator (Den) for maximum flexibility.

External trigger for distance measuring:
The distance measuring action might be activated by an external signal on the digital input of the DLS-B.
