Donadon Sdd at the Edition 2011 of OMC Ravenna Donadon SDD

Donadon Sdd was at the 10th Offshore Mediterranean Conference, that took place in Ravenna, on March 2011.
With a wide range of rupture discs, some of them showed at the stand located near to the main entrance of the exhibition, Donadon Sdd has attracted many visitors, both Italian and foreign.
The core business of Donadon Sdd is the manufacturing of a wide selection of rupture discs, available in many sizes and materials. There are many fields of application; the Offshore is one of them and the companies operating in this field are increasing their interest in the rupture discs as safety devices that can resist to high pressure.
Two of the most recent types are the SCD and SCR models and they were showed at the exhibition. They are very innovative for many reasons: they are compression (or reverse) discs with micro-scored calibrated section, it means that they have a convex surface exposed to the pressure and their shape can’t be deformed until the pressure reaches the bursting point.
The micro-scored calibrated section with 6 petals (or more) instead of the usual 4 allows a better opening of the discs reducing the risk of petal detachment, so that these discs are very efficient operating with high bursting pressure. This peculiarity was also highlighted in the panels that decorated the walls of the stand.
Thanks to the many different applications possible with the rupture discs, Donadon is facing new challenges introducing its products into new segments and countries. Its goal is to produce always cutting-edge safety devices.
