elero brings new rain sensor onto the market


Weather detection are generally used for reasons of convenience and so as to protect furniture and plants – but what about protection for the awning itself? Many weather sensors only have a sun/wind function – in the event of a sudden downpour home and shop owners then have to retract the sun protection themselves. The designers at elero have now brought an ideal solution onto the market: The rain sensor Aquero reliably retracts industrial awnings in the event of rainfall. As it may be combined with other sensors without any problems, it is also optimally suitable for retrofitting measures.

Quick to install, easy to operate
The development work focused on a robust and simple construction that is also suited to retrofitting: Ease of handling and swift installation allow for integration into existing sun protection systems. The Aquero can be affixed to the wall in just a few steps. The connections between the sensor, control and drive are wired. In addition, it has a weather-resistant construction: The compact device is splash-proof to IP 44 and maintenance-free; the sensor surface merely requires cleaning with a moist cloth.

Reliable protection – alone or in a team
Affixed to an outside wall, the Aquero uses a rain sensor on the surface to measure the amount of rainfall at regular intervals. Thanks to an adjustable angle of inclination the rain sensor may also be adapted in line with the specific features of the industrial building. In the event of rainfall an isolated changeover contact is switched, thus triggering the command to retract the awning.

The Aquero may be combined with many elero controls – most suitable, however, is the ProLine control AeroTec. This has separate control channels for wind and sun sensors, various control applications may also be realized via an isolated changeover contact. Thus a comprehensive system is established in a few easy steps so as to protect against too much sun, wind and rain – and offer home and shop owners enhanced comfort.
