Modular Safety Solution ELOBAU
"eloProg“" is a new modular safety system from elobau that evaluates the signals of safety applications on machines and in plants. It fulfills safety classes SIL 3, SILCL 3, PL e and Category 4. Thanks to the variable structure of eloProg, the inputs can be used for a variety of functions. For example, they can be used to monitor optoelectronic scanners, light grids, light curtains, magnetically operated sensors and safety mats, as well as for two-handed controls or the connection of emergency stop buttons.
The eloProg base module is equipped with eight pairs of inputs and two pairs of transistor outputs. It can be operated as a safety controller without the need for any additional modules. However, it can also be compactly extended for up to 72 safety inputs with a total of eight secure OSSD outputs (pairs). Various additional eloProg modules that communicate with the base module via a proprietary 5-way bus are available. In addition, relay output modules with forcibly guided relay contacts can also be connected. These are each capable of handling 6 A and 250 VAC. The relays are also equipped with additional NC contacts for monitoring purposes.
Configuration of the base module is carried out using intuitively controlled software which can easily allocate all safety functions without any special programming knowledge. Available from elobau as an accessory, the 350EPS memory card enables the simple transfer of configuration settings from one base unit to another. Real-time monitoring can be carried out via the configuration software. Field bus modules with Profibus DP, CANopen and DeviceNet are available for easy integration into plant controls. Bus plug connectors eliminate tedious wiring of the modules.
