Elster Kromschröder GmbH has extended its time-tested range of BIC high-speed industrial burners for a capacity range between 200 kW and 260 kW with its new BIC 125 model. This closes a gap between the BIC 100 (up to 160 kW) and BIC 140 (270 kW to 360 kW) series.



Just like the existing sizes the BIC 125 burner can also be combined with three different SiC combustion chambers. This means that the flame outlet velocity can be perfectly adjusted to the requirements of the process. Outlet velocities from 70 m/s to 120 m/s are achieved for nominal capacities between 200 kW and 260 kW.



The use of different mixing head versions means that almost every temperature range for heat treatment and heating in the metal-working industry can be covered.

In the application temperature range from 150°C to 1450°C this means that a wide range of requirements can also be satisfied in terms of emissions:



· The burner mixing head with intensive combustion is suitable for low-CO operation at low industrial furnace temperatures.

· The burner mixing head with staged gas supply for NOx-reduced operation is ideal for high furnace temperatures and/or preheated combustion air.



The time-tested modular construction means that the burners can be adjusted in length to fit the furnace geometry. In addition, the various mixing heads allow the flame geometry to be tailored perfectly to the process.

The burners, which are suitable both for modulating control and for intermittent operation (with a control range of 1:10), have a direct electrical ignition and are fitted with ionisation flame control. Versions with integrated ignition lances can also be supplied as an option; it is also possible to convert the burners for UV control. An integrated gas measuring orifice combined with a flow rate restrictor simplifies the burner adjustment procedure. The BIC 125 can also be used as either a ceiling or a side-wall burner.



With the individual components from the Elster Kromschröder system range, all the burners can be extended to form a complete functional unit. The appropriate regulators and burner controls are designed to comply with current safety standards – subject to the customer’s requirements.
