As replacement for the CS06 test from MIL-STD-461C, a new waveform has been defined for all three services. The 2/5us voltage spike is applicable to single phase and three phase AC as well as DC interfaces. EMC Partner’s Fx-CS106, is a “plug and play” extension to the already popular MIG2000-6 test system which enables generation of the 2/5us impulse into a 5ohm load. The generator has an output impedance of < 2ohm.
Impulses are superimposed simultaneously onto all power lines using an inductive coupling clamp.
