The SlimTec’s narrow profile and reduced metal-free zone make it an exceptional candidate for applications where there is limited space and a need for optimal sensitivity. Its closed aperture design provides protection from outside electrical interference while its electronic and digital filters supply surge protection against static and lightning.

The SlimTec’s standard aluminum or optional stainless steel construction renders unmatched structural integrity in aperture spans ranging from as little as 8-inches to over 200-inches wide. It is particularly effective in detecting metal contamination in thin, wide materials such as plastic films, rubber matting, plywood, OSB, veneers and woven or non-woven textiles.

The SlimTec controller features a state-of-the-art digital design that combines DSP technology with high-resolution electronics to generate performance-driven metal detection.Standard features include an intuitive touch screen HMI, 50 user-defined product profiles, relay I/Os for easy integration with PLCs or other controls, RS485 interface, multi-lingual menus, NEMA 4X construction, password protection and much more.

For variable speed applications, the SlimTec features an internal shift register to assist in the tracking of reject material.
