FAMUR at the International Mining, Exploration, Mineral Processing Technology & Machinery Exhibition 2012 IME in India FAMUR
On 28-31 January the FAMUR Group took part in the International Mining, Exploration, Mineral Processing Technology & Machinery Exhibition 2012 IME, where it introduced the most innovative machinery and equipment for the mining industry that need to check out the demanding geo-mining conditions of Asia - the booming mining market. In order to export expansion in that market the Group has set up a company FAMUR India Mining Solutions.
"India is the third world producer of coal and the fourth largest country in terms of raw material resources. Coal is mined in about 600 mines and there are still some areas where the mineral resources have not been evaluated. In addition, for several years there is a visible trend of modernization of machinery and mining equipment. Participation in the prestigious Fair Mining Expo 2012 was an excellent opportunity for direct presentation of FAMUR new products and to provide expert technical and user information to our potential customers "- says Ireneusz Tomecki, Vice President of FAMUR SA.
In view of the apparent interest of Indian contractors in machinery for mining and solutions offered by FAMUR, the company created FAMUR India Mining Solutions, based in India. Its establishment aims to step up FAMUR on that market, including increase of frequency of participation in the mining exhibitions, providing direct contact with potential customers. The company FAMUR India Mining Solutions is managed by Mr. Julian Ryszkowski.
IME Fair 2012 is one of the most important events in the mining sector in India. FAMUR attended the event previously in 2008 and received the award from the hands of dr. T. Subbarami Reddy, Deputy Minister of India for the mining industry. This year's edition is linked to the Fourth Asian Mining Congress, organized by the Mining, Geological & Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI). On January’s fair a group of international exhibitors was present. During the event the FAMUR Group offered, inter alia, the construction of coal preparation plants, construction and delivery of modern longwall systems adaptable to diversified geo-mining conditions, and roadheaders.
One of the main assumptions of FAMUR development strategy is a systematic increase in exports. The Group companies’ offer meets the interest of mines around the world. FAMUR rapidly expands the export sales, both by increased activity in the current export areas - such as Russia, Mexico, Czech Republic - as well as by entering new markets.
