One year on from an initial investment of £5m and its launch on the 4th October, 2010, a 47,000 square foot assembly line in our Larne facility, has over the past 12 months consistently demonstrated performance excellence.

This production line, for our 26 – 200 kVA product range had been transformed it into a continuously moving automated process involving technology new to FG Wilson.

As forecast, this innovation has resulted in impressive improvements in our production efficiency and quality. Our ‘order to delivery’ process for this product range has indeed been transformed to deliver breakthrough manufacturing performance.

Bay D achievements:
• Doubling of assembly capacity
• Nearly 100% of generator sets built ‘on time’
• MQ ‘Platinum’ level quality performance (Caterpillar quality standard)

As FG Wilson continues to build on such innovations, we are confident we will achieve further gains in our production efficiency and product quality.
