Fiberguide Industries Introduces High Power Laser Delivery Assemblies

Stirling, New Jersey – Fiberguide Industries, Inc. launches its line of High power laser Delivery Assemblies employing Custom designed high-power SMA manufacturers of connector utilizes “air gap” technology to eliminate all energy absorbing materials at fiber end. Cantilevered fiber end can accept very high power levels that would normally destroy traditional fiber termination. Uniquely designed heat sink thermally and mechanically connected to effectively conduct generated heat away from fiber.

Ted Rich, Founder and President of Fiberguide states: “Fiberguide will continue their objective to respond to customers’ needs with a wider range of product offerings. We are energized by being in a position to serve our customers more effectively with a broader range of technology and innovative solutions to universal problems”.

Features and Benefits of the HP-SMA design include, but are not limited to:

• Offered in standard core diameters ranging from 200um to 1500um with N.A.’s ranging from 0.12, 0.22 (standard), 0.26, and 0.39 (standard)
• Also available using our Plastic Clad Silica (PCS) and new Hard Optical Polymer Clad (HOPC) industrial fibers
• Smaller diameter fibers incorporate a pure fused silica sleeve at the tip to support the fiber without addition of energy absorbing materials
• For even higher power levels an optional high conductivity copper ferrule is used for the nose of the connector allowing for greater heat dissipation
• Systems designed around customers exacting requirements and specifications

Product applications of the HP-SMA include, but are not limited to:

• Metal cutting
Welding
• Precision machining
• Machine processing
• Military
• Astronomy
