Cologne – POSITAL GmbH extends its ACCELENS series of inclinometers with new models covering a 360° measuring range and providing a 0,1° resolution. The inclinometers, whose capacitive transducer cells are based on MEMS technol-ogy (micro-electro-mechanical systems), allow users to directly detect inclina-tion values, i.e. without mechanically coupling the devices to drive components. Due to an integrated A/D professional converter, the inclinometers can detect up to 150 reading points per second. Thereby, vibrations and shocks are filtered and the settling time is minimized. A certified CANopen interface enables integration into automation environments; the Baud rate can be adjusted via a BCD switch or via professional software commands. The robust, IP67-protected inclinometers are suit-able for use in ambient temperatures between -40 and +85 °C. They are equipped with integrated diagnostic LEDs which display the operating mode and fault status. Moreover, the inclinometers feature an integrated T-coupler and a switchable terminating resistor.
