Industry Award 2008 for Confocal Microscope MicroSpy Topo
FRT (Fries Research & Technology GmbH), worldwide supplier of tools and systems for the non-destructive analysis of surfaces has received the "Industry Award 2008" from the Germany based "Initiative Mittelstand" (Initiative for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) for it's confocal microscope MicroSpy Topo. The system is the first of a full range of economy class surface measuring systems that stand out for their excellent total cost of ownership and ease of operation. This qualifies the MicroSpy Topo to be the ideal entry level system for many applications in R&D and production control.
Powerful Confocal Microscopy for 3D Topographies
The MicroSpy Topo is offered together with an easy to use software package and measures and evaluates 3D topographies, roughness, and structure. Due to its confocal working priciple this precision instrument provides, depending on its configuration, height resolutions of up to 1nm and outstanding repeatablilty of the results at the same time. Typical applications can be found in the semiconductor, MEMS, photovoltaic and many other industries where highly-precise and non-destructive surface characterizations are needed. The MicroSpy Topo is available with different magnification lenses (eg. 10x, 20x, 50x,100x) and features a motorized x,y-table for convenient sample positioning.
FRT - An "Awarded" Company
Let it be product innovation, staff and organizational development or corporate citizenship, FRT is a frequently awarded company. The MicroProf Cylinder, a tool to measure the honing structure and oil retention volume of cylinder liners in engines, received an "Innovation Award" from the "Initiative Mittelstand" in the category "Automotive" two years ago. The local school project "Experience Physics" has been honored by the coporate citizenship award "Enter Preis" as well as from the "Charity Label" for the work done in the community.
