For even greater 6K configurability with Gb ports, GarrettCom is introducing a new 6K port module, the model 6KP7-1GSFP6RJ. This new module features one Gigabit SFP port and six 10/100 RJ-45 copper ports. With the new module, a 6K32F-series switch, for example, can have 4 Gb ports and 24 10/100 RJ-45 ports.

Other 6K switch base unit switches are similarly enhanced in configurability. First customer shipments are in November.
