More compact and more resistant: the radial media supply Rotodisk SW GAT

Especially for the radial coolant supply for milling heads, a few years ago GAT has developed the Rotodisk SW, a radial single-channel rotary union made with an extremely compact design that enables simple installation in even smallest spaces.
Due to growing demands GAT has expanded its product range and offers now the Rotodisk SW for a shaft diameter from 15 to 150 mm. Moreover the material combination of the hydrostatically released seal elements has been developed further, which allows a greater media variety as well as the transfer of abrasive media. This sealing system enables a very long service life at pressures of 70 bar and speeds up to 10.000 rpm simultaneously with as good as no leakage. Besides the extremely compact design, the new material combination and the low friction moment another advantage is that the Rotodisk SW can be also stacked for multi-channel applications thanks to the narrow width of the single channel elements. The Rotodisk SW can also be combined with other media rotary unions, thus different media can be transferred simultaneously. This combination is used e.g. in packaging industry. Main application areas of the Rotodisk SW are milling heads and driven tools.
