The many requirements placed on operating systems, for example in the pharmaceutical industry, are also reflected in the complex process systems utilized. In order to ensure a high level of operational reliability for these systems, an optimum service and maintenance also has to be provided. Yet the documentation and operating instructions provided by many component manufacturers and system constructors are often inadequate here in terms of the way they can provide help and information. Yet system constructors also have to provide validation that the service personnel they employ are qualified for such demanding installations.
To meet this challenge in a professional manner, GEMÜ has successfully offered a new training concept for the service and maintenance of diaphragm valves for some time now. Training is accompanied by extensive documentation material. This primarily includes a training film, allowing every participant to go over the training content again step by step on their return. It is supplemented by posters for the workshop or laminated service cards, which everyone can take along to support the service itself. In this way, service personnel have a handy reference on site for the most important points and correct order of the product assembly stages. The benefits and advantages for process plant operators are clear:
Reduced error rate when replacing valve diaphragms
Lower probability of failure due to incorrect assembly
Increased service life of the diaphragms
Higher operational reliability
Reduced service and operating costs
