GERWAH presents a new series of permanent-magnet hysteresis couplings developed especially for application in bottle plug mechanisms. In comparison with earlier mechanical friction couplings, magnetic couplings offer the advantage of absolutely wear-free overload protection. In addition, use of hysteresis material allows a constantly gliding, slip-free overload setting. No external air or electricity supply is required by the coupling; a pneumatic plug cap lifting system can be integrated. In addition, particular attention was paid to health requirements and to simple (tool-free if desired) torque setting.
