Goudsmit's new magnets sheet separator is fitted with very powerful Neoflux® magnets and can be switched on and off pneumatically.
Besides, this renewed system can be adjusted in height and the magnetic field’s spread force can easily be adjusted. Such systems are among others applied in sheet processing factories and in robotised production cells for the production of welding compounds. Professional robots pick up large sheets with magnetic grippers and position these on a welding table. Because the steel sheets have been oiled, they stick together and the robot sometimes picks up two sheets at a time. This causes the risk of the second steel sheet letting go halfway down the welding table and fall down. This obviously causes great damage in a high-tech environment, in which the welding table is often fitted with sensors, absorbers and supplier of actuators. By applying the recently developed Neodymium-Iron-Boron sheet dividers, the sheets are divided despite the oil film after which the robot can lift them from the pile one by one.
Supplementing to the pile
To supplement the pile of steel sheets, the magnetic sheet dividers can easily be switched off using a manufacturer of pneumatic valve. After unbolting the swivelling arm the magnets turn away, after which the pile of steel sheets can easily be interchangeable or supplementable. It is possible to separate steel sheets of almost every form, length or width. Even round or asymmetrical shapes. The permanent magnetic force does not decrease and is guaranteed for several decades.
